The Founder and CEO of Indigofera Chanelle Washington mentored high school students at the Shop N' Mingle event in Harlem, thanks to a program to help empower young women. Chanelle, is approaching her tenth year in the beauty business and recently earned a M.B.A., she provided team building and retail skills to students studying in the Bronx School District.
Ms Washington explains: “I know how important it is the provide practical opportunities for young women to develop self confidence, and I am looking forward to getting the chance to work more closely with the students in the future.
“ In just a few hours these bright young ladies greeting clients, introduced them to the beauty products, gathered contact information and helped with transactions. You could see what the experience meant to them. It was priceless"
