Indigofera Inspiration- Declare Joy in Today

Yesterday is merely a memory and tomorrow is only a promissory note, so, live for today as it  is accountable.

One of the worst things to do in life is to put off for tomorrow what can be done today. Another one of those things on the list is to hold on to the woes and sorrows of yesterday. If it was bad on yesterday, it is very unnecessary to bring it into today and continue to relive that pain.

Instead, embrace your joys and look forward to a life filled with just that.

Be happy in knowing that the good feelings you experience are not short of supply. Welcome them into your presence and your future will follow suit.

A Black Woman's Guide to Peace of Mind

A Black Woman’s Guide to Peace of Mind

Hello Radiant Ones!

I wanted to share some inspiration and practical life lessons on how more black women can experience peace of mind, despite of life’s adversity, day to day problems and stress. Do you know, you are worth a life of happiness, joy and wholeness?

Don’t get stuck in a miserable existence. Life too short and full of possibilities, to live in a prison of negativity.

You can glow, and possess that “(First Lady Michelle Obama) black woman kind of happiness.” It is really all up to you.

What is Peace of Mind?  It is a state of spiritual, mental and emotional centeredness, harmony and assurance. I believe peace of mind is missing link black women  need for optimal wellness, and success.

What happens when you are burdened with stress and do not possess peace of mind?

You can be weighed down with fear, anger, doubt, guilt, resentment and worry, just think about the magnitude of problems that brings. How often do you experience these emotions? What is the impact on your life, relationships and personal fulfillment?

Why do so many people struggle with stress, drama, poor choices, and a life of mediocrity?

I believe many factors contribute to the struggle; however the main reason is not making a decision to change.

What is the best way to achieve peace of mind?

Are you ready? You can achieve real peace of mind when you decide and commit to eliminate those, negative, people, situations and emotions that steal your joy.
It really is that simple.  Cutting those ties can be more difficult for some of us, but when you decide to make a change for your own well being rewards are certainly worth it.

How you can get started to possess your peace of mind:

(These tips for peace of mind have really worked for my own life)

·

Start writing in a journal to
reflect on the reality of your life

·         Pay attention to patterns of stressful and negative emotions

·         Spend time with God daily

·         Let go of the past

·         Release what you cannot control

·         Clarify your values and discover your authenticity

·         Be patient with yourself as you grow

·         Celebrate your victories

·         Remain accountable about your life choices

·         Be more selective

·         Raise your expectations

·         Teach others how to treat you

·         Learn healthy coping behaviors

·         Speak affirmations

·         Get on with living your NEW LIFE!

7 Ways to Reclaim Your Happiness, Peace and Joy

It seems like the stresses of life can often compound upon themselves until you find yourself to be perpetually unhappy. It becomes difficult to think or enjoy yourself as your mind becomes more and more cluttered. Luckily, this isn’t a permanent condition, and a few lifestyle changes can get you back to being the bright, happy person you always were beneath the stress and negativity. These seven steps will help you clear your space and become a more balanced, radiant woman.

1.  Clean your physical space.

They often say that a cluttered desk is the sign of a cluttered mind. While many thrive in a chaotic environment, cleaning up the places where you live and work can do a lot to relieve stress. Even just looking at a messy office or home can send your stress levels through the roof, but there is something very zen about a clean space.

2. Clear unnecessary commitments from your schedule.

These days, it seems like we are perpetually busy and never have enough time for ourselves. Take a look at your schedule and figure out what commitments you have that are unnecessary or not beneficial. This gives you more time for the things that are really important to you.

3.  Remove negative influences from your life.

Surrounding yourself with negative people who constantly whine and complain can put you in a negative mindset that persists long after you have left their company. Surrounding yourself with positive people can help you have a much more positive attitude.

4.  Get connected spiritually.

Going to a place of worship is a great way to let go of all of the stresses of the week. Even on days when services are not held, spending time in prayer will help you let go of the negativity that is cluttering your mind.

5.  Take the time to care for and pamper yourself.

Once you have cleared some of your schedule, make time to take proper care of yourself. A healthy beauty regimen will help you feel more confident in your own skin, while massages and aromatherapy will help you remove negativity and balance yourself emotionally.

6.  Affirm yourself.

Far too often, it seems like we are the cause of our own stress. We often remind ourselves of our mistakes and failures, while spending absolutely no time celebrating our successes and appreciating all of the wonderful things that we have to offer others. Make a conscious effort to appreciate yourself and remember how amazing you truly are.

7.  Indulge your creative side.

Even when you take all of these steps to avoid and reduce stress, there will still be situations that arise that will make you want to tear your own hair out. When this happens, your creativity can prove a valuable outlet for all of that stress. Whether you prefer to write poetry or paint beautiful watercolors, you will find that getting your emotions out in a tangible way helps you release negative influences and connect with yourself.
